BUTTERBOX CANYON
A yawning Blue Mountains canyon with vertical features, delicate abseiling, water jumps and exposed climbing.
Butterbox Canyon is one of the most vertical of the core Blue Mountains canyons. With multipitch abseils, sheer walls, water jumps, an exposed rock climb and hill scramble to exit, it’s a multisport adventure day.
Previous abseiling, canyoning or experience at heights is recommended for this trip. Once we are committed at the first abseil there is no easy return. This is a fantastic progression from our beginner’s trip and a great canyon to tick off before considering taking on the larger Kanangra canyons.
